Description: Calculates the ephemeris of a solar system object (asteroid, comet, planet).
Input: The object name, number of designation, ephemeris interval (date/time UT) and step (days).
Output: Ephemeris (RA and Dec), apparent magnitude (V), Delta (Earth distance) and r (Sun distance, in a.u.),
proper motion (in RA and Dec, in arcsec/min), elongation from Sun, phase angle, galactic latitude (all in degrees),
sky uncertainties (in RA and Dec) and the orientation on sky of the uncertainty ellipse (in degrees), calculated at geocentre.
Queries: The Miriade and
SsODNet services (Berthier et al., IMCCE/Obs Paris).
Using: The OrbFit Software Package (OrbFit Consortium - A. Milani et al, 2017) installed locally.
